【Daily Highlight】Slkor GBLC08C: A High-Speed Transient Protection Tool for Low-Voltage Circuits in SOD-323 Package

As a high-performance electrostatic discharge protector under Slkor, GBLC08C features a compact SOD-323 package as its core design. It is specially built for 8V low-voltage high-speed circuit scenarios. With ultra-low capacitance and efficient transient suppression capability, it constructs reliable protection for sensitive circuits in devices such as smartphones and laptops, solving circuit stability issues caused by interference like electrostatic discharge (ESD) and electrical fast transient (EFT).

In terms of packaging and mechanical characteristics, GBLC08C adopts the SOD-323 package, conforms to the UL 94V-0 flammability rating, supports high-temperature soldering at 260℃ for 10s, and is compatible with 7-inch tape and reel packaging (3000 pieces per reel) for automated production lines, easily integrating into high-density circuit board layouts. Its pins are made of high-conductivity materials to ensure current transmission efficiency, and the package shell has good corrosion resistance to extend the service life of the device. This design not only meets the space requirements of miniaturized devices but also guarantees the reliability of mass production.

In terms of electrical performance, the device is precisely calibrated for 8V low-voltage systems: the Reverse Working Voltage (VRWM) is 8.0V, the Minimum Breakdown Voltage (VB )is 8.5V, the Static Leakage Current (IR) is only 1.0μA, and the typical Operating Capacitance (CT) is 0.8pF, which has negligible impact on high-speed signal transmission. In terms of protection level, it complies with the IEC 61000-4-2 standard, with ±15kV air discharge and ±8kV contact discharge. It can withstand a transient current of 40A (5/50ns) and a peak power of 300W (8/20μs), with a response time of less than 1ns, which can quickly suppress overvoltage interference and effectively prevent backend chips from being damaged by transient high voltage.

Benefiting from these characteristics, GBLC08C is widely used in consumer electronics and industrial equipment fields: in smartphones and accessories, it protects RF modules and data interfaces from electrostatic interference during plugging and unplugging; it is compatible with USB interfaces of laptops and servers to ensure uninterrupted high-speed data transmission; it provides stable protection for low-voltage circuits of portable instruments and industrial control peripherals, resisting transient interference in complex electromagnetic environments.
