דיודת זנר
דיודת זנר, הנקראת גם דיודת זנר. היא משתמשת במצב התמוטטות הפוכה של צומת PN, שבו הזרם יכול להשתנות בטווח רחב בעוד המתח נשאר כמעט קבוע, ומיוצרת כדי לשמש כדיודת ויסות מתח, בדרך כלל בשימוש במעגלי מתח קבוע. בניגוד לדיודות רגילות המשמשות בכיוון הקדמי, דיודות זנר משמשות בכיוון ההפוך. מתח ההתמוטטות ההפוכה נקרא מתח זנר (VZ) וערך הזרם נקרא זרם זנר (IZ).
