Slkor introduces the ultra-low junction capacitance ESD protection diode SLESD0701OC, providing an efficient electrostatic discharge (ESD) protection solution for high-speed data interfaces. This device targets consumer electronics, communication equipment, and industrial control sectors, balancing protection performance with signal integrity, thanks to features such as a 15pF ultra-low junction capacitance and a 7V operating voltage.
The SLESD0701OC comes in a compact DFN1006 (1.0mm×0.6mm) leadless package, which is small yet powerful. The leadless design reduces parasitic inductance, while the bottom thermal pad enhances heat dissipation. The side-tin structure supports automatic optical inspection (AOI), improving production efficiency. Whether it's a USB interface for smartphones or a Gigabit Ethernet port for routers, it can easily be embedded into compact circuit boards to protect critical chips.
High-speed signal transmission is most vulnerable to interference. With a junction capacitance of only 15pF, much lower than traditional ESD devices (typically over 30pF), the SLESD0701OC significantly reduces interference on signals with rates of 5Gbps and above. Whether it's 4K video streaming, large file transfers, or the MIPI bus in industrial equipment, it ensures sharp signal edges, clear eye diagrams, and stable data transmission.
The device’s reverse working voltage (VRWM) is 7V, with minimal leakage current (only 0.2µA) under normal operation, resulting in low static power consumption. When the voltage exceeds 7.5V, it quickly conducts, directing ESD energy to the ground, with a clamping voltage of just 12V—well below the tolerance of downstream chips, offering more thorough protection. The dynamic resistance is as low as 1.2Ω, with reduced voltage drop after conduction, ensuring stable operation even after multiple ESD strikes.
From smartphone USB Type-C interfaces and tablet HDMI outputs to 5G CPE RF front-ends and industrial PCIe buses, the SLESD0701OC’s wide temperature range (-55°C to 150°C) and industrial-grade reliability make it suitable for the compact spaces of consumer electronics, the high-bandwidth needs of communication devices, and the harsh environments of industrial control.
